Bombo Lumene has a Type AW4 Köppen climate classification, characterised by tropical savannas. It receives over 1500mm of annual rainfall and has a dry season period of approximately four months (June-September) during which little to no rainfall occurs. Bombo Lumene generally remains several degrees colder than the capital of Kinshasa and experiences cool evenings and chilly mornings.
